Position on Violence at Abortion Clinics
Anglican's for Life abhors the killing of abortionists and others involved in the abortion industry, and grieves with the families the loss of those who have died in these violent killings.
Anglican's for Life's work is and has always been directed toward helping the Episcopal Church restore the Biblical teaching and commitment to the protection and care of every innocent human life.
Anglican's for Life calls its members and friends to openly and strongly condemn all acts of violence against abortionists and abortion clinics. We believe that God’s Truth, not violence, will change hearts and influence—and ultimately prevail. As pro-life people, we must distance ourselves from all who would commit or condone such acts of violence.
We continue to support the peaceful and prayerful attempts to protest abortions and to offer alternatives to women in crisis pregnancies. Many women and babies are saved daily from the violence of abortion by the presence of peaceful prayer warriors and sidewalk counselors at abortion clinics.
As Paul the Apostle wrote, “For though we live in the world we are not carrying on a worldly war, for the weapons of our warfare are not worldly but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments…not people (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). “To do no harm,” and to pray for those who do, is the heart of the ministry that springs from a desire to protect and care for all our brothers and sisters in the human community, especially the “the least of these” among us.
