At the Lambeth Conference held every
decade, the bishops of the churches belonging to the Anglican Communion meet and
take various actions, including the adoption of resolutions on a variety of
topics affecting the Communion at large. A review of the resolutions passed
since 1930 shows that the Anglican Communion values life and has consistently
expressed concern about abortion. But it has never actually declared itself to
be ‘pro’ life.

Anglicans for Life believes that it is time for the Anglican Communion to take an unequivocal stand concerning the sanctity of life. We need our Archbishops and Bishops, boldly to proclaim that the Anglican Communion is proudly ‘pro’ life.
The Archbishop of Canterbury and all the Bishops need to know that it is your desire for the Anglican Communion to state unequivocally that God is the creator of life and to affirm that God, through His Holy Scripture, calls for life to be protected at every stage, from conception to natural death.
Speak Out For Life Now
Sign this petition, and we will present it to the Archbishop of Canterbury and his colleagues at the 2008 Lambeth Conference.
I, the undersigned do hereby ask the 2008 Lambeth Conference to proclaim that the Anglican Communion affirms that human life is a precious gift from God that is to be protected at every stage, from conception to natural death; and to encourage all Anglicans to oppose abortion and euthanasia.
